February 2011: Chastain Criswell lecture

Dear friends and fellow magicians,

Please join us at Haines House of Cards on Friday, February 25, 2011 to experience Chastain Criswell‘s creative and incredible “From The Stall” lecture. Chastain’s lecture includes many incredible routines, created for all levels of experience. Learn such effects such as “Pocket Rocket”, “Outside the Box Okito Routine”, “Enigma’s Triple Cut”, “Defaced”, “Quantum Leap”, and much more! You will marvel in Chastain’s hard-hitting routines using cards, coins, rope and many other objects. Some gimmicked, some not. Chastain will show you how magic can be used to fool magicians as well as your audience. You will learn so much more and at an easy pace that will appeal to everyone.

Remember, Ring 71 lectures are free to its members (so consider joining), and only $10.00 for each non-member guest. It’s quite an amazing deal. Come and enjoy this fun evening of entertainment, learning, and friendship!

Also mark your calendars for the additional upcoming events at Haines:

  • Friday, February 11, 2011: SAM Assembly 11 presenting the Keith Fields lecture
  • Friday, March 25, 2011: David Kovac (from The Magic Castle, via Chicago) lecture

  • Friday, May 27, 2011: Ring 71 meeting and event (to be determined)
  • Sunday, June 12, 2011: IBM/SAM combined picnic and War of the Wizards (at Lake Isabella)

Please spread the word to interested magic enthusiasts, and let’s bring in more guests/members to help our club grow and prosper!

Yours in magic,
Chuck Arkin
President, IBM Ring 71
